Mine looks a bit Scoutish on standard springs actually :(

If you compare yours on your gallery, to mine there's a massive difference! well I think so.

Pagey

Yep defo looks lower...you can tell the difference. What makes it even better looking IMHO is the black grill surround....where did you get it, how much......easy to fit? i seem to remember someone posting a guide at some point.

Not really interested in lowering cos of the state of roads round my end but defo the black grill.

I've done a very crude cut and paste and insert some lines type thing for you all:

Thanks for the vote of confidence. The black grill is the nuts! Its the original, just took it off and dropped it in to my local panel beaters for colour coding, cost me 60 quid all in, this is the link to my original post about it;

Also if you search, there are detailed removal/re-fit guides on here. I know some people have done it themselves with great success, but I'm not that confident.

Pagey.

Just noticed, the before car is actually a smaller image, which means the difference is more significant than the cut and paste shows!! :orb_toung

Ha ha, I get it now! it is early

I still see no difference, the two pics are taken from different distances so I can't tell!

Does it handle better though?

It does handle better, far less roll when cornering, not that it was bad before, but I'm happy, and seeing the car in reality, I know that there's a significant difference. I've also posted the pictures (without comparisons) on Detailing world and most of the responses are asking if has been lowered.

Lol - to be honest, I'm used to browsing forums where lowered means "I can't drive in urban areas"

Does look good, and if it handles well then you've got it sewn up!

These are pictures of an old project car of mine, -120mm front -100mm rear.

Now that's lowered! :D

Just had the car fitted with -30 mm lowered springs, its definately lower, but I wouldn't say by 30 mm! is there some kind of 'settle' time? despite this I'm well happy, the ride isn't really any different but cornering is noticably improved.

Definitely looks lower and right for the car. I have just ordered some new 8 x 18 inch AEZ rims for mine and have a feeling that it is going to need lowering unless I want a "Scout Sport" look

Can I ask how much you paid for fitment please? I know the springs are roughly 130 quid.

Thanks

That's a Peugeot 309, isn't or better wasn't it?

Pardon ?

It's so lowered it's hardly recognizable. AFAIK it had the 130cv of the mythic 205 GTI...

130cv?

It was low, and running a 'slightly' modified mi-16v engine, RR at 225bhp, Tim Harvey liked it when he done the testing for Fast Car magazine, and it despatched a Lotus Carlton around Silverstone......

The springs cost £105 delivered, my mechanic chucked them on for 70 sheets.
