hi thanks for the replies im not keen on the ebay thing want as less attention as poss really. the symphony mp3 looks ok how easy is it get the code from a dealer??

I've had no trouble getting it from my local dealer, first time I had the serial number on the back and the car reg it came out off, dealer phoned me back within 10 mins with the correct code. Second time, went in to the dealer with another unit and VIN number of car it was from, but as the car was scrapped couldn't use the correct VIN so used the VIN from my car and then got the correct code. No idea how that worked though!

Others seem to have more problems getting it from the dealer, guess depends how good a relationship you have with them.

I think you can get them decoded but haven't had to go that route myself.
