I have 170 CR Diesel and have 7000 miles on the clock. I wont be going to the dealer I bought the car from as its too far but befoere I go to local Skoda service centers I want to know what is the interval of first service. Ive heard 10k miles, 20k miles or 30k kilometres. I have checked the site and the manual but the manual has loads of different scenarios.

IS there different types of oils that make for different intervals between services.

You should have synthetic oil in your engine, which allows for "Variable Servicing." There is also the option to display the distance (miles or KM) and days until the next service.

To find out your current position, go to "Setup" on the MFD, scroll down to "Service Interval" then select "Info." The remaining distance and days until service will be displayed for 5 seconds.

I've not reached 9,000 miles yet, so I've just checked on my MFD. It states "Service in 10100 miles 460 days." HTH
