On Monday I'm ordering a Superb Estate

Featured Replies

Found out last night that on Monday I can order the Superb Estate launch car.

I'm basically restricted to 1.8TSi or 2.0TDi 170CR in either SE or Elegance trim. Can't have the sunroof or the KESSY option but can have the electric tailgate option and anything else that is available on the hatch.

Not sure if it's just manuals or if I can order DSG from launch.

I'm going to try and order that new purple colour that Skoda is launching, but what do you think, the new purple with ivory or black interior?

Not sure about the purple with Ivory interior. Black would be a safer bet. As a matter of fact not sure about purple either!!

Sorry.

G.K.

P.S. no matter what colour you order you will attract a lot of customers.

I think that ivory looks better with my Rosso, so I'd say it would set off the new colour too. :)

Purple?! Not if you want it to appeal to a big market!

If it has to be purple then I'd go with the more family friendly dark interior.

Ivory leather on the Purple colour, your own mobile Bordello !!! Cool.

Where can I get a glimpse of this new colour ??

I think you should either order it as as a diesel in Elegance spec in steel grey with black leather, or get a 1.8 in storm blue in SE spec with onyx cloth and be prepared to do a good deal on the 1.8 if they don't sell as well as the oil burners.

Rosso is nicest imo, but the steel will appeal to the business type, and the blue to the more budget user.

Had an Aubergine metallic Escort followed by a Mondeo a number of years back, the Escort with a dark interior and the Mondeo light one; the latter looked better.

Would go diesel myself, 1.8TSI great engine by all accounts but expensive to own in the UK. Also park assist and flappy paddle if you go for DSG, my Dad has both on his ex demo 170 and finds them very useful.

PS might want to check when it arrives that it hasn't fallen of a lorry. :(

1.8 not expensive to own. just expensive to sell !!! (deprectiation !!) LOL

economy is good. average 35 with a mix of driving, can get 40 on a run without trying.

Yes a very nice car it is too, you have converted me back to a petrol head!

ONE DOWN, several million to go !!!

i reckon the new breed of 1.4 turbo petrol engines that are starting to emerge will convert many back to petrol - they are clean, economical, power in the right place (low down the rev range) and importantly they are quiet !! i never understand why people by small cars that are derv and then pootle around town and do 8k miles a year !!!

Deffinatly black interior, very nice car :)

any one got any pics of these purple skoda's?

Believe it or not.

This is what they are calling 'amethyst purple metallic'

Any possibility of this model coming with the option of self levelling rear suspension?

I hate the 'arse heavy' look all my cars gain when loaded with tools all the time.

I am sure the answer will be "no, go buy an Audi" :giggle:

Nope, I don't like that at all, it reminds me of something from the past, it ends up looking like a washed out coffee colour, unless the picture is distorting it.

I think its one of those 'need to see it in the flesh' kind of colours. Photographs can make certain colours look hideous.

the car looks overall a good car and may sell well but dnt like the colour of the one in the pic
