Does anyone have an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser fitted to there fabia (vrs) ?

Featured Replies

As the titile says really,

I'm thinking of investing in a little more added security for my car and wondered if anyone had an aftermarket alarm system fitted to there fabia ?

I've had a few cliffords in the past and there is no way on earth I'm having another !

The best one to date has been a toad ai606 but if anyone has any other recommendations then post a reply

Thanks

The standard alarm/immobiliser is already Thatcham approved. It's tied into the ECU so if you fit another system you will have a world of problems.

Thanks for that info Moggy

I didn't know it was thatcham approved or tied into the ECU so knowing that I dont think I'll bother.

I think I may go down the route of looking into a tracker instead.

We had a Toad fitted to Mrs Grrs SDI. Some little scrote broke in and as it only had an immobiliser as standard

we heard nothing. We don't have the AI606, but the one below although I had an AI606 on my old Golf GTI and have nothing

but praise for it... I presume our immobiliser would also be linked to the ECU but I've got to say that ours has had no

problems at all. The Toad unit works well in our car...
