Briskoda Members Map

Featured Replies

Ok, so I had the idea of a members map like I have seen on some other forums before. Has anyone tried this on here before? I don't know which part of the forum to put it in so here it is. Mods please move if you feel it should be somewhere else.

Using a member map you can see how many members are located near to you and we can also see where we should maybe be holding the meets. This is just an idea, but it has worked on other forums so come on peeps and get yourself added on.

The way it works is that you click the map link below and then add yourself on. For safety reasons when you add yourself it is completely anonymous and you should only add the first part of your postcode i.e. NW1. If anyone adds their full postcode I will remove it. You can add yourself no matter where you live in the world. Full instructions on how to add yourself are on the left hand side of the map when you click the link.

Any questions then please PM me.

If this takes off then maybe it could be worthy of a sticky? so come on you lot don't let this fail miserably!

After investigating this further you will either need a googlemaps account which is free or you can create on when you open the link. You just need any email address to do this. If you don't want to create an account then just PM me the start of your postcode and i'll add it on. Come on peeps.

Thanks Octygone. That is the point of only the first part of the postcode. just to give an approximate location like I have said for safety reasons.

Ditto that,

I have just added myself, Redditch, just up from Worcester. Needs more folk to add in.

I did try the other day but the map wasnt working properly. (google fault) It took 2 attepmts today but Im there now. Also when the link is clicked in the #1 post, it takes me into the sea. no land at all. is there a default location than can be set?

lol.. did that to me too.. started me in the sea :giggle: but I'm on there now.. hope there are more West Mids, near Brum people signing up.. would be great to see numbers and where members concentrate around =)

Someone can add me at SN8 if they want

sorry seem to have added myself twice (dn32)

You can add me to BB10.
