Chip Friendly Dealers

Featured Replies

Just a thought...

How about building up a list of dealer's who will honour the Skoda warranty after a Re-Map / Chipping a car.

It would be a useful little list, and could well send some of the more enlightened dealers a bit of extra work.

I plan to make some enquiries about it with my dealer this week, but in the meantime, if anyone knows a wise dealer, post their name here !! :D

I'm not sure that such dealers would want the publicity - and Skoda UK could easily rumble them if we do publicise them. But there must be some way of collating the info and keeping it under wraps. Perhaps Colin and Ian could think about how best to do this, such as having a restricted area on the website.

Hmmm, good point about dealers not wanting publicity, but as there's a thread already on here somewhere about a dealer offering the Revo re-map as an after-sales upgrade, i presume there's a way around the "rules" so to speak :)

Have a look at www.carnationuk.com The mini vRS part doesn't seem to work, but click on performance at the top of the home page. All will be revealed!

Interesting.....

A main dealer blatantly advertising Re-Mapping on their website

The plot thickens......

I've sent an e-mail for details, i'll post back when i get a reply ;)

In the meantime, has anyone used this garage ?

If it isn't good to mention dealers who do support performance upgrades, then it must be good to mention dealers who don't support it... One being Merritts Skoda in Aylesbury, who's salesman looked at me shocked when I mentioned remapping it and said:

But that will invalidate your warranty
:(
