Hi,

does anyone know what type of replacement bulb is needed for the boot lamp? mine seems to have died. I pulled it out and had a look at the bulb.It's very small and looks a bit like a side light indicator bulb.

I did a search for previous posts relating to the topic but couldn't find anywhere referring to what bulb it was. None of the websites like consumabulbs, powerbulbs list them either.

My mother boot light does not work, but sometimes it does, the bulb is OK. What could this be? The connections seem to be clean and there is 12 V at the connector (checked with multi-meter).

just as i thought it would be ok..it isn;t. Probably more down to user error than the parts.

I've got plenty of 501 bulbs luckily, but trying to fit it proving difficult. I'm not sure how the bulb is ment to be fitted. Does it go in so that the connector is facing flat like in the picture kindly posted above? or does it go in so that the connector is in a vertical position and the metal "U" shaped thing is facing upwards?

i cant remember how it was when i removed it.

locate it so the slot is horisonta and just push in....works 4 me
