Vrs air vents

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Has anyone experianced the interior vent breaking on the dash board. The little fins have broken on mine for no apparent reason.

If so how hard are they to change.

Cheers,

Gaz

Funny you ask this as my girlfriends has done the exact same and was wondering the same question

Yep, when I had my Fabia I had one replaced under warranty.

n/s one has broken on mine :S

seems like a common fault

From what I recall from my past car you cannot buy single fins, dealers only offer full vents, If you do want to go down that route it involves a couple of credit cards and some wiggling to remove them!

The same has happened to my current vrs but when I adjust the angle of the vent the damaged fin seems to pop into place...........for now!

Yeh I can temporary fix them but when I adjust them like you said two of the fins pop out of place. I will order some and do a thread maybe. I will call main dealer tomorrow and get a quote.

Replaced the N/S vent on mine at the beginning of December.

Vent costs about £24, And takes about a minute to fit!

Though i did utterly destroy the old one trying to get it out the dash without marking the dash.

How did you get it out?

I assume its a similar process to this:

I removed my middle ones recently, was much either to just pull the bottom out with cards then yank the top out. The clips fell off, but i rebent them and stuck em back on.

I'd assume the new vents would already have clips attached

A scrap yard (think it was Sko-Spares) sells them for £5 + VAT & P&P.
