can the fabia vrs handle 330ft/lb

Featured Replies

the hybids are a very good upgrade,my kkk was running out of puff at 4k where the hybrids pull right to the redline, but with the extra bhp the difference is night and day, average turbo dynamics stage 2's tend to run about 360+ ft lbs which is a handy bit extra,i have to admit i wasn't running the standard diff or clutch or flywheel for that matter as none were capable of handling the power, but it felt like the chassis could handle way more, when i drove the famous shifty fabia, now in the capable hands of mr sausage roll, running 250+ bhp and over 400 ft lbs not once did it feel like it overwhelmed the chassis tho that could be down to the fact it was mapped by the god of mapping richard washbrook

It's the pulling to the red line part that I'm after.

I'd rather love a torque curve like this.

The chassis doesn't bat an eyelid even with these figures........

The chassis can handle more, its a very capable setup (especially once using solid consoles), and as for Richards mapping.... awesome thats why all unit18 s maps are written by him !!!!!

(as an aside, your old box and flywheel/clutch setup have been put to very good use now lolemoticon-0105-wink.gif andys car is pretty mental)

am thinking in getting my car remapped by celtic tuning they map it to 193bhp and 309ft/lb but it has a torque limiter does give it full torque till 22500rmp! does this safe the flywheel?

er no they don't.....end of

Strange, Nick at R-tech wanted to map mine to 300lb-ft because he said anything like 330 is too much for the Fabia chassis

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :'(

Nick meant too much as if it isn't done correctly it can torque steer really badly.

i have a jabba remap with a sach clutch and it has 340 torque with 179 bhp. everythin has been great for the 18 month since its been done, just dont floor it below 2k!

r-tech may well do stupidly good maps but they seem so far up their own arses that I don't think I could have anything to do with them... :|

Been running my map for around a year (15k) and mine was RR at 332ft/lb and 176bhp

=)
