Moggy Video

Featured Replies

Great little video there.

My Mum had a couple of these, although the steering wheel was not as posh & it did not have all those flash Gauges :D

Watching the Vid, you almost expect the other cars on the road to be of the same Era, when motoring was a pleasure & not a Pain !!!

As Kids we used to sit on the wings & hold on to the Morris emblem on the bonett as my Mother tootled down the country lanes .....

Favourite problems were ... King Pins ( Always at junctions whilst pulling out ) & wood rot ... ;)

Cheers

Ah yes, happy memories. For me it's the smell of leather and petrol. There was a panic regarding Kingpins last year. They ran out, and the ones cast in China failed X-ray tests (full of fractures.) This dragged on for 13 months, but the large suppliers have them back in stock. Wood rot is rare now, as Burgess do a breathable finish that also kills the spores that used to attack the wood.

Glad you liked the video

For those who wonder what it's like to drive a Moggy 1000

I had a test drive in one last year - really enjoyed the experience, tbh I really didnt think I would get on driving a older car but it was great. If I was going to have a Minor then it would have to be the saloon version. Just a case now of finding a nice solid one at a sensible price.

top vid and a very proper car

Bit like driving an A40 Farina ,MK2 ,without al the fancy gauges .Took me back a lot of years .Loooverly .

Thanks - great video and a lovely motor.

It took me back to the days when I could open the bonnet and recognise everything.
