rear passenger footwell carpet full of screen wash.

Featured Replies

hi everyone,

seem to have a bit of a problem, the mat behind the passenger seat is soaking wet ,before everyone tells me to seal the door i have already done this.

the carpet is soaking wet with screen wash ( when you rub the carpet you get nice yellow bubbles and it smells nice).

any advice would be greatly appreiciated

Loads of threads about this, try a search. Basically the screen wash feed pipe has come away from a join piece.

Might have popped off because of a frozen nozzle jet? I don't use my either of my washers until car is fully defrosted for this reason.

Yeah, awesome cars Skodas huh? The Superb has dumb design faults like this, inherited from it's forerunner, the Passat.

iirc there is a pipe connector somewhere behind the N/SR wheel arch trim

Yup, the connector will have popped apart behind the trim that runs down from the C-pillar/speaker mount on the inside of the rear passenger side door frame.

Dead easy to remove.. no annoying metal clips like else where... (Yes, i'm looking at you rear light boot inner trim!).

I've had this happen twice, once per Fabia I've owned. It's actually the first thing I fixed on the vRS as it was busted when I bought it.

I put some electricians tape around mine and it's held.. unfortunately.. the pipe just decided to go at the bulk head connection instead... but that's better then the seat and carpet getting wet at this time of year!
