Falken FK452 205/50/16 on VRS Alloys?

Featured Replies

I have Fabia Vrs Alloys to put on my standard Fabia 1.9tdi and I'm looking at buying some Falken FK452 205/45/16 Tyres to fit on, but that size is not listed. So could I put on 205/50/16's instead and would all be well on clearance of the wheel arches etc?

Thanks in advance

yes...rolling road circumference will be 10mm bigger so speedo will be slghtly out but wont be any probs.

the sidewall will increase by around 10mm, the circumference will increase by nearly 70mm causing the speedo to slightly under-read, but as they are meant to over-read by default it should just work out to be a bit more accurate

Thanks for your feedback guys, much appreciated! My speed is quite low compared to the speedo reading. On the signs it shows i'm doing 26mph, whilst my speedo says 30mph! As you said, it should level itself out now!

You should probably declare this to your insurance company as a modification as you'll no longer be running the standard tyre size for the car.

Get 195/45/16's instead :)
