Battery Life

Featured Replies

The battery on my Octavia is now seven years old and shows no sign of dying on me. It's a genuine VW batttery made by Varta. Must say I am very impressed with this battery.

Car has been in garage for three weeks now and started first time on the button this morning.

The last Varta battery I had lasted about seven years. They may be more expensive than most batteries but they last longer.

Varta are great batteries. One in the Moggy 1000 lasted 12 years

Varta do indeed make some of the best batteries available (not just car batteries but ALL batteries)

If it's looked after carefully their is no reason why a decent car battery can give over 10 years service.

That's good to know - my Octy vRS is 5 yrs old in Feb, and I was wondering if this would be the year I'd have to change the (original) battery - but perhaps not

(however, knowing my luck, that with have just jynxed it!!)
