How much for a new grill?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

On my way to work this morning I hit a horrible magpie on the motorway. it hit the grill then the bonnet then the windscreen, thankfully only damaging the grill.

As the garage is closed now, can anyone tell me how much a new one is?

The car is in for its first MOT on Friday, so I will get the grill from Skoda unless it is extortionate! but looking at their other costs I am assuming it should be less than £50?

I cant post the image, I read there is a minimum post limit before I can..

-----EDIT------

its a VRS grill by the way.

IIRC grill is about £48. However you get +10 points for getting a Magpie.

Thanks I was expecting about that. :o(

Still good news for the +10 ;)

It was eating another magpie just before I clobbered it as well!

Cheers.

Quick update to complete the thread.

Price given including fitting was £78.

Isn't fitting like 3 nuts? Bit crazy!

They are quite cheep, but you should try a pet-shop as your local garage probably won't have them in stock....

Bob.
