Hello everyone! I've been a member on this forum for a month or so now but never posted to say hi. I've got a fabia vRS in black magic and xenons and got it from simpson skoda in colne, lancashire.

Very good dealership by the way, top class customer service. Anyway i'll tell you all a bit about myself and how i ended up here. Well my names paul and i'm from yorkshire and i'm a lorry driver but car technician by trade. I used to work at a ford main dealership but the pay was poor so i changed to trucking.

I used to have a mini cooper S which was modded but the finance payments, insurance and the fuel bills were so high it meant i couldn't afford to save to buy a house wi the missus, so the car had to go!

I looked at the fabia when we were looking before we got the mini but skoda at that time did not do sat/nav as an option so we decided against it. So when it came to selling the mini the fabia was in the shortlist. We looked at the ford focus, vw golf and peugot 206/307 but none really had the value for money that the skoda had so all i had to do was persuade the missus that skoda aint bad anymore. The test drive soon sorted that out!

We had to order from the factory cos we wanted xenons so the wait was on! 8 weeks we waited but it wasn't that bad as we waited longer for the mini. We've had the car 3 weeks now and both of us are extremely impressed with the car. It doesn't have the style of the mini nor its sharp steering and handling but the skoda is a much more relaxed and spacious drive and nearly as much fun. I was a member on www.mini2.com and attended a few of their runs. I miss the mini for that side of things but you guys on here seem just as enthusiastic about your skodas. I knew ross way before i came here through another forum and due to him working at AmD he gave me lots of info on the mini and he also pointed me out to this forum.

So big shout out to ross and a big hello to everyone on here and hopefully i'll meet some of you soon at various events.

Perhaps you could write a review of your supplying dealer in the relavent section of the website, good service deserves rewarding

As a Yorkie I'm not sure I can forgive a Yorkshireman from spending his cash in Lancashire though
