Not terribly, but you can split the rear seats on most models. If you have a baby and fancy this car, so it now, as once she/he grows up, the boot will probably be too small. Then you will need something more like a Volvo Articulated wagon :)

Unless when you say 'boot friendly' you intend to put your baby in the boot!!

How does the boot compare to a fabia mk1 boot? bigger or smaller? deeper or wider?

Now putting the baby in the boot thats a good idea

Had one of these and have to agree that it was great fun on a warm summers day, on a decently surfajced road ? But oh so compromised in so many ways.

Mine was a 3 door Msport. Suspension was so hard that it rattled your teeth on potholed roads.

Tyre wear was appaling - the fact that it came as standard with a wee voice that said " drive me" meant it cost me a grand a year in tyres, and I tried non run flats, cheap tyres, expensive tyres, the whole lot.

The frameless windows froze on frosty mornings meaning you couldn't get in to the cat.

And after two winters of it parked on the drive when it snowed - never again!

SWMBO recently got a 116i SE 5dr.

The ride on it is actually very good. So if you're going for a 1 series I'd recommend you avoid big alloys and sports suspension.

The boot is ok. Probably on a par with any small hatchback. We can get the baby buggy in with room to spare. If you have a big pram like a silvercross you'll struggle. But then we have a silvercross too and it fills the Octy boot.

On nice touch on the 1 series is that it has isofix points on the front passenger seat. Saves having to peer over your shoulder to see the sprog.
