'looking for a dumpvalve for fabia tdi'.

Diesel's don't have, and don't need dump valves.

Q 'looking for a dumpvalve for fabia tdi'.

A 'just don't!'

Your out of luck, TDis dont have dump valves at all as they use a variable vane turbo, so no valve.

Why would you want a dump valve, you have a diesel not a petrol

heard a SEAT Toledo tdi with one!! and straight through exhaust

It's just an electronic fake system that just releases air from the turbocharged pipework when you dip the clutch. Firstly that is RUBBISH sounding as it will just be "PSSST" rather than a usual "wooosssschchhhhh-ch-ch-ch-ch" and secondly by losing boosted air you are affecting performance too.

Go for the straight through exhaust and a decent air filter system and you will get induction noise and the turbo noise will be amplified by the exhaust. Just don't get a dump valve.

PS: Also, due to the complicated setup of these "fake" setups, the kits usually cost around £300 too. :D Wow! £300 to make my car run worse, lovely!

Isn't this the 'introduce yourself' section - not the 'wanted' section?

Am I missing something or should the mods have moved this?

Oh and hello, welcome to briskoda.

It was a first post though :D Just not the kind you'd usually find in the intro section.

Will move it to fabia 1 if need be. In fact sod it. :D Moving it now.

Hello and welcome to the forum :hi:

It is common for newbies to ask about them, this is I normally say about dump valves for TDIs

The way that diesels work, a dump valve will not do anything at all if you fit one. This is because a diesel does not have a throttle valve and does not restrict the airflow into the engine, unlike a petrol one. There is another explanation here: TDIClub FAQ - Blow-off valves or BOV or similar The rest of the FAQ is very useful as well.

You can fit an electronic operated dump valve, this will produce the sound of one but will not do anything to the performance of the car. I have even heard they actually decrease performance slightly when gear changing, and could damage the turbo, as it dumps more pressure than it needs to. This is what an electronic one will sound like:
