Where is it best to buy Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas?

Featured Replies

After reading all the great things that have been said on here about the Vredestein tyres, I have decided to give them a go on the front of my VRS, as they are nearly down to the limit already.

Is 20,000 miles good for a set of fronts?

Can someone point me to the best, and by best I mean cheapest :) place to get holf of them?

Thanks in advance.

I got the best deal on Vredestien's from www.tyremen.co.uk and fast delivery

What size do you need?

I would suggest BlackCircles if you have a friendly dealer who will fit tyres you supply

Other than that ring round

I paid £212.50 recently for 2 x 225/45/17 for the Blue Bullet

225/40/18 92Y

camskill did me a set of 4 for these for 360 delivered then paid 12 quid a corner locally for fitting

I'd go Camskill - they delivered quickly to a local recognised tyre fitter (I rang first to make sure they'd accept them), and they fitted them for £40 all in :)

Camskill always seem cheapest, but you have to pay for fitting seperate.

Have a ring round your local fastfit centres, ask them how much for the Vreds + fitting, and how much for just fitting. You can then decide where to go :D.

Just ordered a pair today myself. Camskill could not be beaten but when I phoned my local tyre fitting place to get fitting etc. prices I was then armed with the Camskill prices and they nearly (but not quite) matched the price. The bottom line difference with VAT, fitting, balancing and disposal for 2 x 225/40/R18 was only £5 difference over the two tyres (£204 vs £209). I just went with the local guy as I was on the phone anyway and couldn't be bothered with the online ordering through Camskill.

was slightly dissapointed with Event who I usually use and get a great deal as they came in at £270.

Ordered tyres around lunchtime and they were here next morning.

Ebay seller comes reccommended!

The Camskill price is same as the ebay guy, if not a couple of pound cheaper

Not when you add postage, for the 4 I stuck in my basket anyway.

Not too bad that!

I get mine by a local tyre fitter for £105 a corner.

The ebay ones worked out at £347.80 for the 4, and a local tyre fitter will fit for £6.50 plus VAT per corner, so quite reasonable.

Annoyingly, after ringing around 8 or 9 companies this morning, the one that said they'd phone back but never did, phoned back a number of hours later - they will supply the Vredesteins for £89 fitted, so I lost out on a few quid there :)

Teach me to be impatient.

They also quoted £93 for Conti Sport Contact 3's fitted, an unbelievable price compared to some of the prices I got today - might be worth a look if anyone is near Bristol.
