Hello everyone, I used to be a member here a while back, but forgot my old username & password (d'oh! ).

Anyway - yay! I've just taken delivery of my brand-new shiny Octavia FL CR vRS !!!

It's a hatchback in black with maxidot, rear parking sensors & rain-sensor/autowipe/autolights (spare wheel on order). And yes, another diesel fan here

I part-ex'd a much-loved, much-missed Fabia vRS for it. Had the Fabia from new and for 5 years now ... and it was just time to move on for something a bit bigger.

Anyway, loving the new Octy. It's a very different beast to Fabia - feels less "throwaround" and fun to drive, but on the other hand several notches up in terms of luxury and comfort. Can't say yet which feels "faster" but I'd expect them to come out to about the same (for me anyway).

Time will tell once it's been run-in for a bit. But so far, a double thumbs-up!
