Easiest thing is to buy them off the internet, and get a quote from a local fitter for fitting

I rang round my local fitters, got a price of £10 per corner to fit (inc valve and balancing), and they agreed to let me have them delivered direct to them to avoid me having to take time off to wait in at home for them

How far north east are you?

AP Tyres in Rotherham can supply and fit them cheaper than on the net

Thanks guys. I'm in Newcastle upon Tyne but travel quite a lot so Rotherham and Sheffield are options for me......

How much have people been paying for 225/40 18's? I've rung around a couple of tyre places in Newcastle today and have been quoted £130/£140. Is this competitive? I've also found Falken 452's for £85 fitted. Better option?

The Ultrac Sessantas are £85 online. Including fitting, you should be paying £105 tops.

M&M tyres in Middlesbrough, unless that's too far from Newcastle. I've used them many times, they are also cheap for Goodyears as well.

Try Morrell Tyres in Maltby if your around that way.

James that manages it, is a top lad.

Dexel Tyres at Darnal want £113 a tyre, i cant complain about there work though.

They were professional and patient with my car after clunking a curb sliding on ice and knocking the tracking out, which was a little difficult to get right as the geometry i had done by a previous company seems to have left the nearside wheel stuck out of the arch slightly. And the camber values are scrubbing the insides off of the tyres.

Try www.camskill.co.uk delivered to your door great service and will usually price match for you.

Just need to budget between £10 - £15 for fitting and balancing depending where you go :)
