Can you please help

Opened the car this morning then had too slam the door shut. Now it wont open at all !

The door pin itself goes up and every door will open apart from the drivers door, its -4 up here but dont see how that will affect it seen as the door has already been opened.

Car is a VRS

Any suggestions/help welcome

Will it open from the inside?

Otherwise, see if you can exercise the lock with the key perhaps?

prob frozen...pour a kettle full of hot water over handle lock area...not boiling.

Car wont open from inside, tried even putting my shoulder into it. Hav tried a bit of de-icer in the lock, will need to try again when i get home from work. What should i try if the suggestions above dont work?

Sounds like the deadlock mechanism has jammed. Try the following.

1: Get into car through passengers door, and open the bonnet

2: Unlock all doors by double pressing the unlock button on the keyfob

3: Open all doors that can be opened, then close them

4: Open tailgate and then close it

5: Shut bonnet

6: Lock car by double clicking keyfob lock (disables deadlock)

7: Unlock car and see if it's fixed the drivers door

If not, it's a garage job.

Luckily for me the car door eventually opened, think it must have been frozen. Will be putting WD40 in th lock mechanisim asap just in case it was a stiff lock.
