Yeti Community Assist

An interesting link and discussion. Weather patterns are very complex far more so than the over simplified versions that the global warming champions would have us beleive. I have read into weather patterns for a good many years and it does chop and change with mini ice and heat ages cropping up throughout the last several hundred years even. We are still in an ice age the present one has not finished just yet, expect sea levels to rise at least another 1.5 - 2 metres but not in our life time. We will experience colder temperatures before then due to recession of our obit and also sun spot maxima and minima are said by some scientists also to produce a sinusoidal temperature change over I think 11 year period. So it is difficult to predict. My guess is we will have plenty of snow Yeti.

Perhaps I should keep my Volvo C304 TGB13 Command Cab then, it has over 16" of ground clearance under its 3 portal axles with approach, departure and ramp angles better than any Landrover, making most normal obstacles insignificant. Then it was built in Sweden for driving in the snowy wilderness. Great heater too warmmmmmmmmmm :giggle:

One of the reasons I purchased the Yeti was that I thought I might be able to help neighbours and fellow Club members who were unable to use their cars following recent heavy snowfalls

The discussion in the thread about snow chains continues!

Snow chains

In that thread ithas been queried whether Skoda have provided the best all round rim and tyre combination on the Elegance

We would need to minimise the risk of a rescue team needing to be sent out to rescue Yeti Community Assist volunteers!
