lol, its only me that parks with big gaps david, my work mates take the mickey out of me!

Octy09, my wheels are made by VMR, the model number/name is V710 and they are gunmetal and 19"

Somehow, 19" looks better than my 18" haha! I should have gotten 19" damn....

Wow that is close! :giggle:

Ya! Real Close!

The joy of buying reps :)

I think it is the size of the caliper. Too big I supposed. I think Alcon may not have this problem.

Er, more to do with the mahoosive caliper I think.. (you should know -they look like your cayenne /overkill jobbies)

:p

They r cayenne calipers. Big. But i like the 6 pot progressive feel compare to the original brakes.

I got pukka Compomotives though, and have bags of clearance with the same calipers :)

Go on then old bean, explain yourself?

I was referring particularly to the mention of VMR reps, as I believe the real McCoy are BB friendly

I see. I think it is not about whether it is reps or not. I agree that QC is likely the problem for reps to get the accurate offset. But I also believe the design of the rims play a part in BBK clearance. I think the vmr 710 design is too concave. The spokes tend to be too curved. Anyway, to be frank, vmr are also replicas in terms of design. In this case, the amount of money put in for QC does matters to ensure a quality product :)

Quite right, it's not just an offset issue. Buying with just that in mind when running big brakes isn't a good idea. Spoke design and clearance are as important.

This is the beauty of the Compomotive CXT - the spokes start on the outer edge of the rim and bow out

I went for ET42, but could probably have got away with anything up to ET45

Yup. Spoke design does make a lot of difference. Unfortunately, mine didn't have much clearance. Btw you are right, your cxt design does have lots of clearance, replica of a certain BBS design?

You’re clearly a bit touchy about the word ’reps’

Try doing a bit of research on Compomotive wheels, their history in producing competition rims etc etc, and you’ll realise you’re barking up the wrong tree

My BBS CH reps are ET45 and clear my S3 calipers nicely, and so far have stood the test of England's finest roads, they are made in German though so I wouldn't expect poor quality.

Time to get back on the true topic and point of this thread now?

Not really, for me, as long as the wheels fits my budget and function, it doesn't really matter if they are reps or original

Okie back to the original purpose of this thread. More pics pls :)

Will look great, needs lowering though

Agree, nice design, oe quality but will need to sit lower to look right.

Looks nice, what is the offset? I think the Audi's offset is slightly different from the FL octavia. Lowering it will give it a fierce look haha..

They are original Audi 17"

offset : 7,5 X 17 ET 35 5X 112

They're going to poke out a fair bit at the front at et35 - I've got et45 x 8 wide and yours will be a few mills more poking out

Edit 4mm extra - may be getting a bit tight. Mine are borderline IMHO

So the proper offset would be?
