Well in europe the superb now comes with the shark fin antenna its not available as a retro it looks so much better not available on uk cars ? any ideas and how "difficult can it be" famous last words eh!

I have contacted skoda uk nothing doing i will try and get it it from france as it really looks so much better :giggle:

Get a part number and you might be able to get it from VW etc

I'm not sure... It's factory fitted and he hasn't mentioned it not working properly, I'll ask him how it is tomorrow. Car was delivered (after a factory order) on 23rd December so I guess they're standard fit now?

part number 1K0 035 501 E (shark fin type with rod from basic SE)

it looks like it is radio + GSM but there is space to fit GPS antena inside as well

2 plugs on this one

according to ETKA 1K0 035 501 F is the one with GPS antena built in so 3 plugs

I'm awaiting delivery of my new Superb next weekend and it's got the shark fin antenna

My 58 reg also has a shark fin, you get it if you have a columbus or bluetooth phone kit since the external bluetooth aerial, GPS reciever and radio aerial are all integrated into the base.

It must have a good amp to work well though.....

Don't forget you have also a large antenna incorporated in the heating element of the rear window ( hatchback) and in both the rear quarter windows on the combi for radio.
