Wheel rim stand / tree - £4.99! from Lidl :)

Featured Replies

I picked up a wheel rim stand from Lidl today for £4.99. Ideal for keeping your spare / winter wheels / tyres neat and safe. It fits wheels with tyres up to 225 wide. It's made in Germany and includes a tread depth gauge, (cheapo) pressure gauge, markers for which corner of the car the wheel belongs on, a storage thing for wheel bolts or whatever and a dust cover that velcros shut.

Amazing value!

I did see it mentioned on another forum that they're not in all Lidl stores. I got mine in Sheffield. Apparently they're mainly in North East stores?

I think the garage roof will do me :)

Quality is absolutely fine. Base is sturdy, centre pole is decent metal, each plastic "shelf" sits on a very sturdy metal pin. Fine with tyres fitted. Strangely one of the boxes actually said Tyre Stand instead of Wheel Stand although it was identical.

I don't mind picking a couple more of these up and saving them for people. I could bring them to East mids meet or Gaydon or something.

Is there any advantage over just stacking the wheels and tyres on each other? I'm guessing they shouldn't be left standing vertically next to each other (like they are on the car).

well it saves chipping the paint i guess if they dont have tyres on and alloys are a bugger for falling over when stacked, i'm of to find a couple tomorrow lol

Will have to check my local store!

Excellent value that

looks a good bit of kit very useful

Local one didn't have any :(

Got a box of cable ties, though

Want me to pick you one up and give it to Brimma or someone to bring over to a NW meet?

Bargain! I'll pick a couple up if my local Lidl has any.

Yeah, sorry about that. There's one in Stocksbridge isn't there. That's less than a couple of miles from Grenoside, over the hill.

Aye no worries, will have to pop over there tomorrow aft or something. I need 3 anyway :D lol.
