Must have scared him off with the start time too.

Better e mail Mr Grisedale :D back with revised figures. He will be pleased.

So it's just you on your own now Ian...why don't you bring..........................no on 2nd thoughts, maybe not such a good idea! ;)

O.K....will meet you one day!

Well all of those that ventured out I think had an excellent day...erm....5 of us out of the original 11 :o

How did Steve Vrs get on?

We did see you, but I guess you were a bit too busy to notice us.

How is that female navigator who was airlifted to hospital, do you know Steve?

In fairness it was a VERY early start, but I think Andy, Al and young Phil will agree that it was well worth the effort.

A very sleepy C.J. jnr. certainly did, and kept us all entertained with his anti chav comments! He really doesn't like Novas!! :D

Driving back through Liverpool was exceptionally funny with both him and Andy taking the mick out of the local scallies that could be seen wandering the streets in their 'designer' gear! Boss mate!

The weather was fine and in fact very mild for the time of year, no rain, no wind...well sort of ;) and I think the lads appreciated my culinary delights behind the hot stove.

Here's to the next BRISKODA marshalling division's outing...sorry lads...Park Hall scheduled for the 28th Dec., has had to be cancelled  ...sure we'll find something else though:thumbup:

Thanks for making it another GREAT day out courtesy of BRISKODA!

Let's have more of you out next time...guarenteed hoot. :D

I think you must mean sdmegawuk. Simon was co driving as was another mate of mine. I was merely spectating in High Barn.

I spotted another black Vrs at the car park. Was it any of you guys?

Steve

Colin,

If there's anything scheduled over the Xmas hols (24th Dec to 10th jan for me) let me know and i might come along....assuming i'm not off travelling ;)

Need to sharpen up the old shooting skills on something other than slow-moving Skodas :D

Sorry Steve :o I meant Simon...I'm that knackered I can hardly see straight :tired: only had 3 hours kip in nearly 48 hours! :P

Don't know which car park you're talking about  but we were at SS1 start for signing on briefly, then parked up between J7 and 8 for the day...Black Octy and Fabia Vrs's.

You enjoy it too?

Wasn't that Land Rover V8 totally awesome.

Geoff, I'll be having a trawl around the rallying sites to see if I can find something to replace the now very sadly cancelled Park Hall stages. :(

Think some photo's may be appearing on this thread in the next day or two.

hey colin.....can i assume from that comment that mrs cj has forgiven you??

45 hours out of 48 eh...i admire your stamina - you really are a randy old goat!

i'm impressed

Oh go and have a word with yourself you dozy old fossil.

Me! ME!ME! Forgiven! Get real!

Can't even remember what I've done wrong now! :D

Any good single stage events coming up over the Crimbo holiday to your knowledge Marc me old buzzard?

Forget..you're a roundy roundy man as Andy is to bloaty bloaty

Well for those of you that couldn't make it today, you really missed out.

As CJ said it was a VERY  early start but it was well worth it. I'll be posting a few pics of the day on here probably tomorrow.

Just like to thank CJ, CJ jnr and Spindrift for A. navigating our way there and back to the M6 again B. CJ the master chef for cooking all our food. & C. Making mine and Phils first time marshalling such a laugh.

Favourite cars of the day, the V8 Landie, Mk1 Escort and the old Saab. All the Mk2 Escorts made very entertaining watching as they appeared to be going sideways most of the time.

Hope the navigator that was airlifted to hospital is OK. Apart from that a good day was had by all.

Cheers

Croft stages are usually at Xmas. I'll ask some questions

Bit off topic this Marc me old flowerpot!

New one coming VERY soon.

Anyone else know of any good rallying/motorsport going on over the festive period, otherwise it's going to be a very quiet break for me...nowt to do, nowhere to go so far. Bored just thinking about it. :(

That was probably mine :)

Alright folks.

Thanks for all your support over the duration of the rally  .

We finished joint 7th overall and joint first in class :D . If it was'nt for those pesky WRC cars we would have been second. Oh well, i best go and buy a lottery ticket.

The female co-driver who was airlifted to hospital is ok. She hurt her back badly on the last stage. The second time through Grizedale was unreal. The stages were so badly cut up i'm not surprised someone got hurt.

Anyway thanks again for the support, without marshals i would'nt be rallying.

Cheers

Si

Thanks Si. Myself and Phil (3 f's jnr) really enjoyed the day. It was our first ever rally and definately will not be our last.

Glad to hear the co-driver is OK, but you are right about the stages being really cut up, especially the second time around. On the bend near our post the ruts in the road must have been about 8 inches deep. All the cars were bottoming out as it was quite a fast bend.

Anyway joint 7th overall and joint 1st in your class was very good  WELL DONE

Cheers

A top day out followed by a top night out and bed just over 24 hours after getting up

It was great to introduce Al and Phil to the delights of boulder dodging :D

 to C.J. the chef and C.J.jnr for his dog poo boulder antics

Was talking to a guy at 7B who reckons the Croft event is a cracker - anyone else up for throwing a sickie :D
