Liking this! Feels so good to grip and turn. Apparently I hear the best way to get the best out of these wheels is to use racing gloves..... Never really fancied that before.

Engine work on hold due to a bit of an issue that surfaced. Nothing too major - just a real inconvenience.

I like those silver vent surrounds too. Did you buy them soomewhere or just spray up the originals?

Sprayed them myself. Upon closer inspection, you can tell. Something to sort over the summer I think.

Elegance door cards.. 1 vRS pedal.. dials bolted directly onto the dash. Momo wheel and Not forgetting stripped out with golf gti seats!

and purely out of interest, are the arm rests on the door the elegance ones to? Slightly rubbery squidgy ones.. they're sooo much nicer than the stock vRS's hard plastic ones.

Door cards are stock classic ones, so "tough" but I don't mind that.

Shorter shifter stick might be a later mod, but for now the throw of the gearbox is not exceedingly long in my opinion.

what is the red button next to the heated rear window?? and the green light on the other side?

Orange button there is a switch which is now redundant. The green light comes on when the water/methanol starts pumping, so I know what boost levels to have it come in at.

The red switch just poking inside the right edge of the wheel is the nitrous button.

You will have to wear gloves or your hands end up black (they did with my OMP wheel)

These steering wheels are great, feel amazing too. I had a sparco one in my old car and it was great untill the suede/alcantara wore of and i ended up with smooth bit where my hands were!! lol

Really? Haven't been in a classic but thought the lil running guys were Elegance only? My elegance had them in a lovely golden colour

Either way.. Can't wait to see this all done and back on the road!
