Increasing Order backlog ?

Featured Replies

Snowmonster of mine was week 50 build (Commencing 7 Dec ?) and was delivered to me on Jan 12 so guess about 4 weeks factory to me, nb christmas and new year in that time span may have altered timings.

Yes, I am hoping that the girl who emailed me from the dealer was a bit out on this one. Christmas delays aside, others are reporting 2/3 weeks from factory to delivery which I can just about bear!

It will be worth the wait

According to the Skoda dealer our car was scheduled to be built in week 6 - but as yet we haven't had a delivery date. :S

I have my Yeti's factory order number, does Skoda have an online track and trace system?

Delivery from factory to Uk is normally 2-3 Weeks my dealer said, and yes they have an online tracking system, but is only available to the dealer to access, so you should be getting a call from your dealer soon.I would be in touch with the dealer, and ask them when it is due if I was you.

I was told by the dealer that they thought it would be week 5 or 6 turned out to be week 10, then week 11. Now we are in March it has been confirmed as week 12, Grrrr! Nothong I can do, Skoda factory are a law unto themselves.

Allams said to me that it could take 4 or 5 weeks after build date to arrive but that was worse case scenario. Better to paint a bleakish picture and be pleased when it arrives early than get your hopes up and be disappointed. Mine was 2-3 weeks from build to collection.

I've just had an email from the dealer to say that our Yeti is stuck in Germany. :'(

Thanks Aerofurb. I am as reassured as an impatient and expectant Yeti owner can beemoticon-0100-smile.gif

Skoda need to change their adverts to

"Skoda, manufacturer of really annoyed drivers!" :swear:

I'd love to be an annoyed Skoda driver, but I need to get the car first!

Well I already have an Octavia, which I've been very happy with. But I'm getting a little annoyed waiting for my Yeti. It's going to be about 15 weeks from order to delivery.

I am frustrated waiting for my Yeti as well but in a way I am happy that this is an in demand car that has been made to order to my exact specification. There aren't too many cars of this price for which you can say the same. In fairness to the dealers, they do not appear to be misleading us with optimistic delivery times. The waiting will soon be over and I am sure that we will all love our cars (provided that we are not expecting huge boots or the ability to attach snow chains to all of the wheels) :x
