Ordered a Superb Estate!

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Just want to do a quick intro; i've just today ordered myself a Superb Estate Elegance 170TDi 4x4 in Silver. - just a 12 week wait now...!

It replaces out Kia Sorento, it's been a good beast, and have waited until now, as i wanted to see the new model, but the Skoda beats it easily for Space and Spec, hence, buying one!

Only thoughts i have is with regard to iPhone and Bluetooth - is there any updates as yet? i'll be emailing Apple later to see what they say too :)

No support for rSAP on the current Iphone range so it wont work with the BT system.

Reading spec list on-line, it says "Premium GSM III telephone preparation with Bluetooth (UHV & rSAP)"

Is the UHV bit new? Will my iPhone like UHV?!

Congratulations on your order, I'm sure you'll love the car when it gets here.

Can't help with the phone I'm afraid, a quick bit of googling leads me to believe it is VW's name for the hands free kit, but hopefully someone who knows will be along soon.

You're out of luck with the iPhone - it doesn't support remote SIM access - applies to both 3G & 3GS. The UHV is the universal handsfree kit as spencem states, not a connection protocol.

If you want a smartphone that connects you'll find many lists by searching this forum. My HTC HD2 works as does a Blackberry Curve I borrowed.
