Lowered Fabia's & The Engine Undertray ...

Featured Replies

Re. Fitted my engine undertray tonight .....

Seing as the Fabia Engine undertray is already quite low to the ground in standard trim... What have all you folks done that have lowered your fabia's ??

If it wasn't for the Bulbous bit there would be a decent Gap between it & the road.

The lowest point on my undertray is probably approx 2.5 to 3 Inches Inches off the tarmac, My sump is reinforced but just wondered what everyone else has done .. Whether you have removed all together ? Left in place ? & if so, how does it fair with those Orrible Speed Humps, The one's that are just random lumps of Tarmac or concrete & don't straddle the whole of the road ..

Cheers.

I recently took mine off at it really started to **** me off, catching on rabbits, ice rocks etc.

I plan on getting a metal totally flat one made up by one of the guys here to replace it.

Leave it as an early warning device, you know you need to slow down when it scrubs! :)

^^ what he said

All the way down on coil overs without removing adjusters or helper springs and my under tray is fine

It does catch sometimes on speed bumps and stuff on the road but it's nothing major. Only other issue I've had is during all the snow, it did not like the snow in the middle of some of the roads I had to drive one bit lol or the end of my driveway with the snow

Left mine on, Admittedly a few mounting points are now battered, and aided with cable ties.

But i'd prefer that to scrape on anything first.. What i have noticed is im slowly wearing away the little flaps that come down in front of the wheels from the bumper...

Mine got ripped off :(

Yours Must be lower than mine then :D I have not started to wear those bits yet .. Sometimes the cupra front splitter gets a Rub on multi storey Jobeys ... :D

I'll leave it on then & see what occurs .... Although after fitting it .. What do i do tonight !!! Drop a Flinkin spanner down there, which promptly vanished from sight ..... :giggle:

Cheers.

i had no choice but to remove mine, as you can see in the picture there is no clearance at all with it fitted.

Hello Sump Assassin,

Good grief that is SCARY LOW, to think your oil pan is only about another 2inches higher, you certainly like to live life on the edge. LOL
