Just to further confuse the issue I have an 06 plate with red brakes and the mp3 Stream.

CR diesel was already available before the interior facelifted cars. See Brimmas CR diesel.

I know a couple of interior facelifted cars here in Germany with the EA888. One was at my place where we read out his car with VCDS.

Red calipers came with MJ07, which was after the works summervacation in 2006. My car is an early MJ07 and has the red calipers. But in this period they still had some green calipers left and these were also put on early MJ07 cars.

Another difference since MJ07 is the possibility to change a couple of settings in the maxidot, that had to be recoded before. Such as CH/LH and rain closing.

My first drive in a vRS was a pre-fl CR and I'm assuming that was a pre-FL interior too. It had a monochrome non-touch screen stereo, I remember that much about it, that was a 58 plate but I don't know when it was actually manufactured...

So far the only EA888 vRS' i've seen here in the uk have all been FL cars, but i'll keep an eye out at work for any pre-facelift cars with the EA888 fitted. Sorry for the thread hi-jack folks.

The 500 special VRS were available with the EA888 as far as I remember. These were interior facelifted cars with the special leather interior.

Off topic but what paint colour are your wheels?

They are not anthracite , they are smoked chrome, and photo doesn`t do them justice. They look like anthracite when dirty or dull day, but really shine when sunnyB)

Should be able to get it for much less than that, you can buy the cruise stalk on ebay for £65.

Or if you're down in sunny Bournemouth for your hols at all over the summer, then get your £65 stalk and we'll fit it together over a cup of tea, bring a few 'yorkshire parkins' or whatever native treat you have up there and that's all I require. Done a few now and takes less than 30mins.
