Is 600 quid for a service to much?

Featured Replies

NO ITS NOT JUST FOR A STANDARD SERVICE

but i have got to the 4 year mark so am getting a standard service, cambelt and water pump changed on the furby

is 600 quid a lot for that work or is it about right

quoted by cambereley audi/veedub/seat/skoda/everyone and your uncle service centre

probably a bit expensive... I just had the cambelt service done on the fiat (90k) and it was £375, £450 including new rear pads in the end... and I had an EGR "swirl" gasked fitted for free in that... (at my local fiat dealership) was going to go ind but the best quote I could get was £500, just for the cambelt service....

Cambelt should come in around the £350-400 mark at a main dealer (I got this at a VW one) including the water pump and new coolant.

So that means your service is £200-250, which suggests they have room to move.

dont forget your also due a break fluid change at 4yrs, it should be done every 2 years.
