With the new Sharan & Alhambra models due out later in the year why haven't Skoda jumped on the MPV band wagon?

Then if they undercut the others on price? Surely this would be a good move?

I am sure I remember reading a story somewhere that Skoda were offered the chance to have one with a Skoda badge on, but decided against it. I presume the reasoning at the time would have been it didn't fit in with their business plan/model.

When was the last time you saw one of those on the road?

IIRC when the original Galaxy/sharan was announced they said there would be an audi or skoda version but these never happened.....

There is a link somewhere on the site that shows some artists impressions of the Skoda MPV that they were working on last year; dont know why it got canned though, it looked pretty good.

To replace it, I am campaigning for a LWB Yeti 7 seater!!!!! (codename "Sasquatch").

I don't think it's viable to be honest.

Ford/Seat/VW shared the Galaxy/Sharan platform, VW might not want another competitor out there.

Might seem contraversial with the Golf platform used for almost everything but MPV sales arent as high as normal hatchbacks so they might not want Skoda selling something where prices are high and sales are quite low.

At least not yet.
