dream on

Featured Replies

I popped into the local dealers today to have a look at the superb estate.

I parked between two brand new black vrs estates and had a sit in the aforementioned superb. I was very impressed. It had all the bells and whistles and would be a snip at around £24,000.

Had a sit in a yeti - not impressed at all - seemed at first glance to be of a lesser quality ( in terms of materials used and how well it felt screwed together) than one might be used to in other types of Skoda.

Went outside for a look at the used cars on display - some very nice superbs and octavias at not unreasonable prices.

Left feeling totally depressed - why am I so poor?

Guess I'll have to plod on with my 05 octy until that big lottery win arrives:)

The Superb is of higher quality than the others!

Test drove the new superb estate 170CR DSG it really is a very very nice car to be in, massive though!! Much softer and smoother drive than the vRS. Like the £500 option shutting boot very cool................but dread to think how much it will cost if it goes wrong.

The superb is a totally different ballgame to the yeti and octavia, but then it has a much higher price to match. Size wise yes the superb is big, but having owned mine now for 3 weeks and come from an octy2 estate, you soon become used to the much longer length. Width wise there is very little between the octy and superb with the bulk of the difference due to the bigger wing mirrors.

/sigh

I know the feeling.

Skoda's latest VAT free and interest free deal is too tempting also.

I've got a 2.0TDI PD140 DSG Elegance at the moment, and I'd probably try and see if I could get away with using the car as 50% deposit on a vRS...

I'm in the queue for lottery numbers as well!
