AUX SOCKET

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me what the Aux socket is for, between tthe front seats and next to the cigar lighter on my Roomster.

I have checked the owners manual and there is no reference to it at all. It looks similar to a mobile phone charging socket.

Thanks,

Jim.

So you can play your I-Pod music through your radio, go into the radio settings and select Aux and then you can use it..........I think

Thanks for the quick response.

I suppose I will have to go out and buy an i-pod thingy now. :D

I could wind the windows down and play Max Bygraves very loud just to annoy the boy racers. B)

Think it will take most mp3, i-pod things

You're looking in the wrong manual... you need to be looking in the instruction manual for the radio... its on page 12 of mine re the aux socket... and it covers MP3 players as well as iPods.

it is the auxiliary input to your radio to allow you to plug your mp3, satnav etc into the car radio, there are some options on the radio menu for setting the input sensitivty level (1-3) and you access the aux input by pressing the CD button on the radio 2 or 3 times

Thanks for all the info. I will check out the radio documentation as soon as possible.

By the way, I am sorry for the double posting but my laptop has had a mind of its own since I got an automatic update last night. I keep getting a box asking me about sticky keys (?). Things seem to have settled down a bit now though.

Look in Control Panel -> accessibility options. Sticky keys allows shift, ctl, etc, to "stick" in use for folk with missing or dodgy digits.
