Split pipe...HELP!

Featured Replies

HELP!

Had a coil pack go so swapped that today then noticed this "little" hole!

Anyone know what pipe is it and the best place to get a replacement? I'm sure i've seen topics on this before but can't remember.

Thanks

Cheers Stig, this is the one? - http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=13304&xSec=294

It might have to wait until next month now as money is already a little tight, will it be ok until then?

mine ran funny with it split but if you cant replace it yet tape it up , but becareful because they go really soft ok mate ;)

Yeah I've noticed it's not ticking over as well as it could and it's backing off the boost as well, i'm guessing this is the cause!

I'll get it taped up till i can get the new pipe from awesome.

Just had that and another done while it was having a new coil pack and wiring done = ask how much first if too bone idle - like me - to do yourself

Hi guys

Thank you for the letting the OP know we do them

Yes , these ones are fluro lined too , so can be used as a preventative as well as a repair

There are 2 hoses in the kit , the common claw and the one under the manifold

Now , I dont get my hands dirty often

But the claw one is quite easy , the other one is a bit of a mare to do , but straight forward enough

We do tend to keep in stock too

Hope that helps?

Thinking about this, the car has done 130k. It's all running ok (touch wood!) so is it really worth me spending £70 when the car could cease to exist in 12-24 months time?

Sarah do you do standard pipes?

Thanks

I would just get a standard one if yours lasted that long.

all retail mate got told off for quoting trade so i just provide a retail so people know what they'd pay if they went to the dealers

It will perrish like the OEM one ,but cheaper is always a good thing to hear
