You should do this over a set mileage though as you could have just reset this whilst cruising :)

lol need a distance as if i take a pic of mine as i come off throttle in a 1.8t it goes to around 181mpg lol

haha fair point rules have been adjusted accordingly :giggle:

Indicated average of 71 after a full tank? Looks like you've taken the pic of mode 1 which resets after 2 hours of being sat..

Kev

46.9mpg over 165 miles in a stage 2 Mk1 Octy VRS.

Pic to follow.

I've seen indicated average of 68mpg over 500 miles.. Driving to Nurburgring, thats about the best i've got..

Kev

jay how th heck can a mk1 do that. back of a low loader lol

That pic is of Mode 1 and should be mode 2

I could post a Mode 1 pic showing 200MPG if you like.

This week my dad got just over 90 mpg in one journey in my mums 1.9TDI. He complains if he dos not get over 65mpg for that journey.

OK, it's 7-8 miles, mostly downhill.

best iv had out the Fabia RS is 56.1 cant seem to get any better than that although im sure i should. although i get alot better when i let it role downhill

Same here, 57 is the best I get. I did get a 65MPG on a long downhill.

Can't believe how good this Fabia is on fuel....my last vRS didn't manage above 55 on a motorway run.

:)

I've had over 80mpg indicated on my 7 mile journey back from work, but the cold weather seems to be playing havoc with my economy at the moment - I'm struggling to get more than 65mpg.

Doesn't the mpg gauge over/under read randomly anyway? :giggle:

I averaged 68.1MPG on my 45mile journey home from Leeds today.

Might I add, that's A road driving too, no motorways, doing speed limits, not particularly trying, but then I was happily sat behind most other traffic withoutt he urge to overtake

33MPG completely standard MK1 Octy vRS. No way did you see 47!

Quite a few will be optimistic, but I have seen them to be worse than a 'brim-to-brim' proper calc as well...

You can adjust the 'fuzzy' logic in VCDS for it too :)

Here you go 46.9 over 165 miles.I was driving at around 60-63mph most of the way.Pic was taken next day before i set off again.

Not at all. Mine is extremely consistent - it almost always reads between 113% and 118% of my actual economy over the course of a tank!

How did you get a mode 2?? Do you reset it?

You press the button on the bottom of the wiper stalk when on the mpg screen - this then flips between current journey (1) and overall (2).

Then hold in that button to reset...

Come on, basic Fabia operations :p

That is bloody impressive especially on a stage 2 remap and a 2.5" turbo back exhaust!

Mine is standard, no mods, I have had 42mpg out of it on a trip up to Lincolnshire and back. This was driving at 70 though and going up to 80 occasionally to overtake so could probably have got a bit more out of it if I'd tried. Next time I do a long m/way journey I'll get a picture

i cant drive that sensibly for long enough lol
