Rear Washer Pipe Issues in Boot Lid

Featured Replies

Right,

Any one got any handy guide how to remove the plastic from the boot lid? It looks like the washer pipe has come away under the plastic on the boot lid as it is leaving pools in the lock. Is there a certain part I should order for the clips if I break any?

I've tried giving it a bit of a yank but it's not coming away easily so I thought I'd stop and check on here!

It helps if you can get a wooden spatula underneath the bottom edge at one corner, but it does need a good tug. It's unlikely you'll break any clips, they are spring steel, you may have a bit of a fiddle disengaging the trim panel from the 2 upright pieces of trim at each side. It's also a bit fiddly lining it all up again to put it back together, it will need a firm thump all over to engage all the clips, a bit of grease helps on each clip.

Seconded

you need to pull

pull harder

pull till you think it might break

then pull some more

that said i put my seats down took the parcel shelf out and got into the boot with the lid closed.

I then managed to pull the top out far enough to wriggle my hand in and reconnect the pipe as the only join in right on the wiper motor.

When that didn;t fix the problem the whole panel of trim was removed with good old brute force - and remember the cloth pull when you put it back on!

Thanks guys

I got inside the boot and did it. Very easy to get the pipe reconnected. Great help!
