Extra Load tyres

Featured Replies

Im due to change my front tyres shortly on my 1.9td S

Can someone explain why Skoda fit Extra Load Tyres to the superb2 and why are they V rated.

Ive done around 17,000miles and the car is used as a taxi and so far (touch wood) i havnt had a puncture yet and the state of the roads in Glasgow must be some of the worst, is this because of the tyres or is it just luck!

Hi,

will be down to the cars weight and potential speed, although Skoda often go over the top regard speed rating. My Yeti has W rated tyres for example.

Appreciate this is a Yeti related thread My link but there are some useful links contained within on tyres and a link to the Skoda Germany's guide to approved tyres and rim sizes for the entire Skoda range.

Regards,

TP
