Dealer Service

Featured Replies

Put the VRS SE in for annual inspection service today, they picked up on a couple of things I wasn't going to bother about, and they are going to put these right when I take it in for it's first MOT in June.

1 Tailgate and front grill badge, both discoloured slightly and will be changed under warranty

2: Alloys have some corrosion starting, they will be replaced under warranty

3: Consul bushes are starting to split, but will be replaced with the new type which have more rubber and less voided sections again FOC

To me this is great service, considering I used to have to fight tooth and nail with local VAG garage to get anything done under warranty.

So top marks yet again to West End Skoda in Broxburn. Car was ready in just over an hour. They even spotted the 'Please do not wash' notice on the dash

One very happy Skoda driver

Sounds great! :D

That's awesome... they're replacing the alloys?! Just how bad is the corrosion?! I very much doubt I'll get this type of customer service when I take mine in for a service next month - I'm lucky to get a courtesy car.

Replacing two, the other ones are kerbed slightly and that voids the warranty. The corrosion is the typical laquer bubbles near the sharp edge of the spokes. Should be warranty provided it's not stone chip wear and tear.

West end Skoda in Broxburn are BRILLIANT.

Couldn't agree more. Sales and service are both top notch.

pity one of the mechanics who drives a fabia is a **** :p

That is good news, as far as I was lead to believe, this was a typical family business that sort of became a Skoda dealer, things became a bit pointless when the next generation of the family took over - they "reamed" someone at work basically because the guy knew nothing about cars, changed a steering pump which did not sort the fault (later turned out to just be the sensor), they then wanted to replace a new style ARB (this job offer was turned down) and the problem was found to be a worn ARB drop link - but now maybe some one else has bought it over.

West End have been a Skoda dealer for as long as I can remember. We got our first Fabia from them 4 years ago, then an Audi, an MX-5 and another Fabia. Sales and Service have always been spot on.

KTP: That's not a constructive criticism, I would have expected better from you! You have gone down in my estimation :'(
