I'm looking for a work placement and it's hard to find the right contacts.

IIRC Nija Alex was involved in motorsport. Got to be worth a PM.

It is VERY hard to get in there, just like TV.

I had the opportunity of a job at Jordan when I was at college, but had no way of getting to Silverstone and back everyday! I so regret not moving heaven and earth to make it work, but transport round here is pants.

unfortunately the only person I know lost their job when Brawn took over the old Honda team. Given the number of people who were made redundant I think you are going to struggle at the moment.

hate to say it but with the team spending and staff level been cut by the ruling body I'm guessing its gonna be very hard to get in.

Have you tried just contacting the teams directly via letter or e-mail with a brief opening letter of what you can do etc.

I'm sure Mclaren are opening up some sort of new factory to start building the new model? http://mclaren.com/

When is your placement Rob?

IMO you dont stand a chance in hell, most people who have a placement with an F1 team will have had it arranged and organized years ago!

I did have a friend at Bridgestone F1 but he has left to work for McLaren. Most of their operations are in Japan any way. :S
