Featured Replies

RedLeon - that thread is mega confusing. Can you summarise the latest posish wrt group buys? Is there one, and is it UK or US based, or is it every man for himself?

Thanks

Sorry mate :)

If you look at the second thread I posted above Westec are now supplying them in the uk so there is no need to mess around with group buys etc...

Just click on the linky in the post :)

The first thread is just really info on how it performs :)

OK thanks - I posted the question on SCN too just for good measure :D

I replied on there too for bomb proof measures :D

Anyone tried this DB mount on the Octy? Is it of a similar spec to the Forge one? Thanks for any info...

Not sure about being tried yet on an Octy but I know people have reported alot less vibration on leons than with the uprated forge bushes:)

No short shifts for the 5 speed by any chance are there ?

I guess the one above is only good for 6 speeders ?

I think if you look on the EIP site its for the 6 speeders only.. www.eiptuning.com...

Not sure what the mount looks like on the 5 speed....

Hmmm I thought the point though was that the mount needed stiffening up to reduce engine twist and therefore improve power transfer to the wheels. So if it's a soft mount, does it still do the business in this regard?

If you have a quick search on SCN I'm pretty sure people have said that its equal to the forge but without the vibration at idle:)

I dont have one meself just thought I would spread the info around :)

I believe there are a few of us Revo guys with Polyflex dogbone mounts using the standard casting if that's of interest.

And how do you find them? Do you get lots of vibration? Supplier? Cost?

Sorry for all the questions :o

Apparently they're a sensible upgrade for the 4x4 owing to the amount of traction it can generate => lots of engine movement. I can't say that I've noticed much difference in the gear change etc, I believe EddyH and Rich1068 are more sensitive than my good self and did notice improvements. You get a fair bit of vibration for the first few hundred miles until they bed in, after that you get slightly more 'tingle' at idle, especially when cold, but they're just as smooth as stock when driving. I got mine from JBS in Chesterfield,
