I've bought my second octavia vrs 04 plate with 49,000 miles,and picked it up last friday 19th march,friday night it rained and the rear wiper started to have a mind of its own then an hour later after coming home from the inlaws the front wipers stop working .After a 20minute phone call to the skoda dealer saturday they called the rac out to it saturday morning and the rac sorted it, but the rac bloke said it needed looking at at the garage.

Took it back friday 26th march for the mot it should of got before i picked it up and gave them a list of faults with the car aswell as the wipers.

All they could say was 'its only in for an mot' but sort the faults ,Got a phone call this morning(saturday) to say the cars ready to be picked up,asked the service guy if the faults had been sorted all he could do was try and fob me of with some excusses about why they'd not been sorted and that id have to come back next week..Which wouldn't be to bad if i didnt live 45mins away from the garage.After much complaining to him about why should i after work around them and not them work around me and about refunding me my petrol,they agreed to let me keep the loan car untill mine is sorted next week.

I suppose my point to all this is,its a good car with a few niggles that should of been sorted before it was picked up,But why is the dealer not been very good at sorting the problems out in the first place and trying to make me happy with the service they should be giving me,after all if im giving them my hard earned cash shouldn't they be giving some thing back in return and trying to make me a happy customer instead of an unhappy one.

Sounds like you have reacted the way any of us would have done. Rear wiper motors go quite commonly due to water getting into the electronics of the motor itself.

which dealer? 45 mins from Doncaster would be Royce Roberts in Hull? Or perhaps Hortons in Lincoln? Name and shame! Good luck getting it all sorted. They should have a 30 day (1000 miles IIRC) money back guarantee if you're not really happy.
