Fabia VRS Heater not Cold unless Fully to Cold Position

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Recently purchased a 54 Reg Fabia VRS, noticed that the Heater in the Car still blow's warmish air even when you put it virtually onto the Fully Cold Position. i.e. Not quite Fully Anticlockwise.

In order to get Cool air I have to put it Fully onto the Cold Position (Fully Anticlockwise) then I can move it slightly clockwise (back into the same position I was getting warm air) and still get cool air but once you move it back to a Hotter setting (Clockwise) you then have to go all the way back to fully cold before you get cool air again.

OK it's not totally Hot air coming out but it is warm nether the less. It's not a major issue either but as the Car is still under Warranty I just wondered if it was a problem or just the norm.

Hope I've explained it so people can understand.

Cheers

Mine does this too. Doesn't bother me too much, I just ignore the temperature scale on the facia!

Sounds like the flap motor. Might just need resetting in Vag-com. Failing that it'll need a new one.

Might be the ambient temp sensor too. By the grilles next to the AC/Recirc button IIRC - maybe worth putting a hoover noozle over the end seeing if that works?

mines a bit like this too, i wouldnt say it was warm on the cooler settings, just not cool lol

this happens in my car too. like someone else said, i just ignore the scale.
