Roomster facelift UK brochure available

And the first mistake is on page 3.....

"The biggest change for new Roomster is under the bonnet. New, cleaner and more efficient petrol and diesel

engines offer the driver a suitable engine for every situation. New TSI petrol engines offer a great blend of

power and torque combined with low CO2 and improved fuel economy, whilst the range of new ‘Common

rail’ diesel engines all emit just 109g/km of CO2, helping to reduce the impact on the environment."

Yet the lowest emission figure for the 1.6CR in the specification section is 124g/km..... :'(

How could they miss that??? :wonder:

Oh.....and how can the switchable passenger airbag still be an option?

That does look a mistake, think it is on the Fabia that they emit that amount. I agree that you would think the airbag switch and middle rear headrest should both be standard fit these days

It's also hard to believe that each of the three mpg figures are identical for the two 1.6CR engines.

Think its just the way the tests are done which are not realistic. It would be better if in the tests the cars were made to have the air con on full blast along with lights etc and at a higher speed which at least would give more realistic figures.

Still waiting for Motability to come up with a figure for the Deposite :(

Just ordered a Scout, the dealer placed the order for the new model due to the factory extras.

The specifications and price's vary from Skoda web main site and the brochure. The Scout has different dimensions, these are not listed. The new 1.6 TDi diesel don't sound like a London cab ( old 1.9 was loud to non diesel drivers) and the consumption of 68 MPH is something that a light foot may achieve.

Why do they still fit drum brakes on the rear? I have been ensured by the dealer that the Scout comes with rear/front discs, but it is nowhere in the specification. The Scout offers ESP plus (Price on Skoda web £450 and brochure £120). This includes all wheel traction control. Still don't know if you have to have this addition for rear discs.

Centre arm rest don't have the storage facility and its another extra ? (Yes rear head rear centre head rest and rear electric windows are extra)

17" alloys are an option for those who use the car for shopping or have loads of money for replacing tyres.

Really trying to find out what is on offer with Skoda products seems to be half the fun, anyway if the machine lives up to its PR I will very happy.

Congratulations on your order. I think you've done the right thing going for the facelift model with the new engine and the Safari looks like a nice colour

ESP is standard on the Scout (including rear discs)

ESP Plus is a kind of high spec ESP which includes hill hold control and tyre pressure monitor. This option costs less on the Scout than other models because it already has the basic ESP as standard.

The front centre armrest opens up so there is some storage in there.

I can confirm that the Roomy Scout does have discs front and rear.

My 2008/08 Scout has a tyre pressure monitor and the 17" Scout alloys are lovely B) as is the glass roof :sun:

The new brochure lists a protective bumper cover, KDA770004, in the retailer supplied accessories. Does anyone know if it covers the whole of the top of the bumper please?

I never got one originally because it was just a narrow strip and I need to be able to protect the whole of the bumper top when the dog jumps in and out.

There is another type of bumper protector listed (ZGB5J0072200 @ £40.00) that covers the whole top surface of the rear bumper for max protection. Apparently though it is NOT suitable for fitment if you have ultrasonic reversing sensors fitted into the bumper. Looks like a simple enough job to fit - probably more double sided tape in the same manner as the door sill protectors.

There are also after-market items available on the Bay of E, They look very similar to the Skoda originals and but there is no price advantage with them.

edited to add link (I hope !)

Thank you for that. Sadly I do have the parking sensors. I wonder why they aren't suitable as the parking sensors are on the rear-facing vertical surface.

Thanks, but that's the one that leaves an unprotected strip in front of it.
