When returning from shopping, i noticed my car has something hanging slightly lower than the rest of the sill. Its about half way along the rear door on the passanger side. The jacking points just next to it are where they should, and a quick feel it didnt feel loose at all, and i think its plastic, and its got a bit that got like hatch markings on it, although im not 100%. :S I`v taken a picture, tho its not very clear.

Anyone know what it is, or if i should be worried?

Mine has a case of the droops too, been the same since i got it. handbrake cable? not sure what it is

fuel cooler maybe?

I just had another look, it's like a engine tray, but goes under the middle of the car. One on each side, bolts holding it on. Both side seem about the same, and it doesn't feel loose. Maybe I'm worrying about nothing, just trying to see what rubs as I go over bumps now the cups are out the back.

Does it line up with the mounting points for the front seat runners? Can't remember, but think my Fabia had some kind of bar, or cover that ran across the car in that general area.

Its not loose, or hanging down massive amounts, just a tad more than i remember seeing before, its only close to the floor cos i`v got it stupidly low.

Ok, not what I was on about, don't remember ever seeing anything like that on mine.

Looks like an underbody tray. They're held in place by some thin metal clip things that crudely screw onto short metal threaded posts on the underside of the car. A couple of these clips came loose on my old estate and the tray dropped down at the back. Just get a couple of new ones from the dealer, crawl under the car and pop them on. Or if you're feeling lazy get a garage to pop it in the air and do it for you.

That sounds like the most likely thing at the moment. Another job next time its in the air me thinks, I cant really get under it any more, combination of being fat and a car too low.
