Yeti space saver wheel

Featured Replies

Those are standard silver VW 16" wheels. Thus they are just really silver equivalents of the normal (slightly smaller) 16" spare the Yeti optionally comes with. They are not the narrower spacesaver as Pete listed above. Apologies for the confusion.

No worries.

Cheers,

Steve

Nice one, thanks Peter. You've made a neat job of that. I intent to have my spare just float about in the boot!

I suggest you fasten it down to one of the fixing points as you don't want to decapitate yourself or a passenger in an accident/emergency stop..... I secured mine upright to the horizontal bar in the boot and to the fixing point by the tool box.

Just collected a spare wheel from my dealer, cost me £00.00 paid for from my late delivery compo  ,

It will only go in the boot when i do a long trip so no need for the raised floor and all the other bits, happy with the goo for local trips and daily use

:o hit the wrong key should have been swmbo, but not going to edit it :giggle::punch:

I ordered the wheel/floor/jack back in feb, my dealer told me yesterday that there is a consignment on it's way to the UK and they can see it coming on their system!

How much did the complete package cost you? I am looking at buying an ex-demo 1.2Tsi DSG Elegance and would feel much safer with a spare wheel + jack + floor that with the can of goo provided with the car!

The spare wheel kit that contains the 3 storage boxes, jack, wheel brace, and new floor is £100 from TPS( Part No 5L0071108))if you know someone in the trade, The wheel is separate and the part no is in The Plumbers excellent guide, and is £45 from TPS also. You will of course need to buy a tyre which is around £60.
