Thanks for the forum to explore what the Skoda world is really like. Fantastic for "isolated" aussie owners.

First few days of ownership delivers 4.4 lt/100km combined use consumption on 90km trip

Columbus satnav is a mystery (I have used GPS systems for 20 years on ground, air and sea) keeps losing itself by up to 100's of km with loss of satellite signal. Intermittent but can be for hours. (I suspect it was dealer fitted)

How can I get a software and firmware version from the Columbus? (no disks with unit)

Welcome from me too. I suggest that you repost your query about the Columbus satnav either in the Octavia II forum, or in the ICE, Security and Insurance one. Have a read of the latter first to see if anyone else has had a similar problem.

Hi! Octavia vRS TDI 2015 - For a while I've been experiencing constant DPF regens - the idle tick over constantly sits at 1K with the radiator fans running for a while after the ignition is turned off. I drive motorway miles daily so it's not a symptom of short trips although on longer 2 trip ~2hrs the Particle Filter warning will appear but clears after ignition reset. I've noticed the regens are having a massive impact on fuel economy (only managing ~350 miles on a full tank when previously

In 2022-2023 I had problems downloading the updates fro my Skoda Kamiq and eventually it had to go in to the dealers to be brought up to date - a four or five job on the computer. I can't recall any notification of updates since then until recently when a few weeks ago the message appeared on the centre display that updates were available and I tapped on the download option and then OK to the message about sharing my position. Hi all, recently bought a 2016 Fabia 1.2tsi with 1 key and it's the push button start, had 2 mobile locksmiths out and both have the same problem, they can cut and programme the keys so it locks and unlocks and will start the car but the new key they cut will only start the car if held right up to the button and then you get the dreaded "key not found" warning and noise,the original key works fine so I can't see that it's a car fault and I can put up with holding the spare key up to the switch a

I bought a sportline flat bottom steering wheel but it was the heated version with the view button. I knew the airbag would have a bit of a gap but I didn’t like how it looked or felt overall. So I now have that for sale if anyone is interested. I am on the hunt for a round leather steering wheel. Version with phone button not view button, but with the DSG paddles. If anyone can point me in the direction of the correct part number or even if you have one for sale please let me know!
