after 10 weeks of waiting my octavia vrs is here.went to dealers yesterday and saw it in the compound all covered in film.just received email from dealer to say pick up friday afternoon onwards ,cant wait, just like christmas all over again....

Mine is being built in two weeks time (hopefully).

Lucky man, ours was at the dealer last week , however we have to wait to have a number plate transfer :( . Still after waiting since 16th Jan, a few more days is bearable....just

placed order on 23rd january and spoke to dealer yesterday and i am picking up on friday afternoon.just like christmas day all over again

Placed my order on 11th March. Expected delivery 7th May.

Pickings01 - you'll be doing well with delivery on 7th of May! I ordered on 22nd of Feb for a 1.6CR Elegance and my original date was this week..It's been drawn out to mid-late May.

I ordered my Scout on 31st, and was told current wait times are 12 - 13 weeks :(

Hi, I ordered mine 17 Feb. Was informed after ordering that build is week 16 (w/c 16 Apr). Hopefully available to collect early-mid May.

I spoke to the dealer yesterday and the delivery is still showing as 7th May. On holiday from the 10th May so pickup will not be until after the holiday. From what everyone is saying I do not expect it to come early.

Mine wasn't a factory order though, just picked one already in the system

Picked up my nice new Octavia Scout yesterday. Loving it so far

Ordered on 15th Jan and dealer had it for a week before I picked up.

Basic spec + Xenon lights, Electric memory seats, Maxidot + steering wheel and a parrot (got an iphone!)

also awaiting vrs estate 170 tdi in either blue or black via volkswagen leasing as my preffered company car over a passat,

no one can give me a delivery date as such, have spoke to a local dealer and he informed me that they were having

problems with the bolero stereo?, and he reconed that 13 weeks for delivery would be about right.

anyone been given firm delivery dates or know the expected time scale ? thanks

Those dates are reasonable if you read around the forum.

I've seen the Bolero shortage mentioned elsewhere too.

Most people wait between 10-16 weeks, some are getting quoted even longer... I think one gent was quoted 20 weeks - albeit for a Superb, I think.

Nurse VRS - sadly haven't been given an exact date. I think it's pretty poor how the dealer is 'up in the air' - I would have thought they'd have been given a build date at least.

That said; it's all been about the Bolero Stereos. I was told the exact same thing. It's poor how Skoda appear to be ordering 'off the cuff' and not prepare for these things.

Especially when the Bolero has become basic on most Elegance models around Europe.

just found out that unfortunately my car that was ordered in february will not be with me until mid june ,

dissapointed to say the least as i thought i would get one from group stock coming from vag leasing.

That's absolutely shocking. I take it that the VRS Estates are built in the same plant they build the L&K/Scout models (Correct me if I'm wrong?) so I'm surprised there's so many delays.

I'd have understood if they were put in amongst all the regular Octys.

Still. Really sad :(. Are you going to stick it out or will you cancel the order?

i will stick it out , i also put on my list of cars a golf sportline 2.0 tdi estate and was told by my work that i could not have that as it had a 10 month wait for delivery

plus i am only allowed vag group cars, tried the seat exeo and it is very small no boot room and no head room.
